The food you eat can be either the safest and the most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.
A healthy lifestyle not only changes your body, as it changes your mind, your attitude and your mood too.
Because of the increasing rates of obesity, unhealthy eating habits, and physical inactivity, we may see the first generation that will be less healthy and have a shorter life expectancy than their parents.
I will be honest that I personally don’t have the healthiest food habit at all.
What I am sharing with you today are my own food habits and benefits on me.
(1) MINIMAL OR NO CARBS AT ALL
I am currently on my 3rd month now of my Keto Diet journey.
I can say that it is not easy at first because I experience keto flu and later after my body adjust, that’s the time I gained healthy benefits from it.
My cravings for carbs are lessened and I am able to lose 5 kilos in 3 months’ time.
(2) EGGS FOR BREAKFAST
When it comes to breakfast before, I usually tend to overeat and have a plate of foods on my table.
Then, I started my egg only diet in the morning as breakfast whether boiled, fried or scrambled for almost 2 months now and it helps me not to feel hungry in the morning.
(3) MORE WATER, MORE FUN
I will be honest with you that I am a poor water drinker since then but when hyper acidity hits me (due to the love of spicy), my doctor told me to drink adequate water or at least 2L every day.
After that, I disciplined myself to have a jug of water on my table to drink more often.
(4) ENJOY YOUR CHEAT DAY
I think this should be at least once a week so your cravings for sweet and everything you love to eat can be given in a day that you will not feel guilty.
(5) DO NOT OVEREAT
Yes, you can have your cheat day but don’t overdo it.
It is still nice to have a healthy and balanced eating habit even on your cheat day.
(6) FOOD TRACKING
I have my own system which I track my weight every week and food list which has calorie count which I have eaten on that day.
In this way, I am on the track of the unhealthy foods I am taking in and that makes me feel guilty that let me promised to myself that I will not do it again next time.
My weight is also monitored to know the progress I have every month whether it's increasing or decreasing and what's the reason behind it.
I am not actually trying to lose so much weight but what I want to achieve here is to have a healthy eating habit while still eating the food I want on balance.
In this way, I am able to wear swimsuits and I can again wear those clothes which I haven't wore for a long time.
To achieve this, everyone should have at least a discipline and a healthy mindset.
I don’t mind if you would like to try some of my habits but you know people differ on how they able to sustain a healthy lifestyle.
Only you can decide it at the end of the day.
