A Mother's Day Special

Dear Mom,

As your daughter, I have to say that things just never appeared this way.

with that I mean I never knew just how hard this was to do.

All the patience in the world,

my days are bright,

my hair had curls

As I look back on my life, I find myself wondering...

Did I remember to thank you for all that you have done for me?

For all the times you were by my side to help me celebrate my successes and accept my defeats

Or for teaching me the value of hard work, good judgment, and honesty

Now that I'm a Mother too, I know how hard this was for you

So I thank you, Mom, cause I didn't know what you sacrificed for me to grow.

Thank you for letting me witness the beauty of life

and for all the things you've done for us.

And to all moms, grannies, great grannies, foster moms and those people who did a great job being a mother to anyone.
