Hong Kong's Famous Mango Dessert is now in the Philippines

Today is a mango pride day!
Hong Kong's mango dessert Hui Lau Shan opens it's branch at SM North Edsa hypermarket last June 8, 2019.
HLS is a dessert specialist founded in Hong Kong since the 1960s.
Starting the business from selling Chinese herbal tea with a traditional trolley to the first specialized herbal tea store at the 1970s, the company is now developed as a global food and beverage brand which attracts tourists from all over the world.
In the early 1960s, the founder Mr. Hui Chi-yuk took after the legacy of his late father Mr. Hui Lau-Shan and started selling traditional herbal jelly and herbal tea by traditional trolley in Yuen Long, Hong Kong.
In the 1970s, HLS launched the first specialized herbal tea store in Yuen Long.
Until the 1980s, innovation began by selling classic desserts and snacks like Red Bean Jelly, Pan Fried Radish Cake and Coconut Milk, etc.
In 1992, HLS invented a new recipe of “Mango Sago” and had made a hit in the city.
As the pioneer of fresh fruit dessert store chain in Hong Kong, they continue to innovate by launching a series of creative desserts and drinks which has gained great popularity in Hong Kong.
In 2000, HLS launched the first “Handmade Fresh Fruit Drinks” which initiated a brand new “Drinks To Go” concept.
Besides, the series of unique Hong Kong style dessert also gains popularity among the tourists and become one of the attractions in Hong Kong.
In 2008, HLS opened the first branch in Shenzhen and started expanding the business to different territories of China.
Later in 2012, their footprint was expanded to Malaysia and there are more than 20 branches across the country.
In 2016, a new sub-brand Mango Cottage launched in Malaysia and until the time, HLS operates over 260 branches globally.
In 2017, they entered to Seoul, South Korea.
Looking to the future, HLS is a pathing way to expand the business to more overseas markets and hoping to make the name of Hui Lau Shan further globalized.
H.L.S. – it is not only the initials of Hui Lau Shan but also representing their mission “Health, Leisure, Style”.
They promise to be innovated – to create more new desserts and products that consistently over the expectation of customers.
They hope to provide the best dessert experience to customers and to promote Hong Kong style dessert to worldwide customers as well.
Over the years, HLS creates more than 200 products with the premium Carabao Mangoes, and the total volume of mangoes consumed is more than thousand tons per year in Hong Kong.
They select mangoes from North and South Philippines according to their best harvesting time for the stable supply all year round.
To ensure freshness upon serving, they ship mangoes to Hong Kong every week and deliver to stores daily.
The quality controllers carefully select mangoes with sweet pulp and pleasant aroma, committing to offer the best sensational mango experience, making each of the sweet moments memorable.
HLS committed to “Made Fresh Daily”.
Over the years, everything they served is made-to-order using the freshest ingredients.
With the 50 more years of experience in dessert making, their chefs are not only creating desserts with passion and talented craftsmanship but also hoping to create a unique and cozy dessert experience for our customers.
Their Handmade Mango series are freshly made daily using the Carabao Mangoes imported directly from the Philippines which taste extraordinarily sweet and juicy.
Serving together with their handmade ingredients like the chewy balls and crystal jelly, the combination is not only creating a chewy dimension, but also a unique and wonderful mango dessert experiences.
My favorite on this is the Mango Romance which has a complete set of Mango Mochi, Mango Chewy Ball, and Mango Sago.
From Mango Mochi to Mixed Curry Combo and Pan Fried Radish Cake with XO Sauce, they have more than 10 kinds of handmade Hong Kong style snacks for you to select.
My favorite is the Mango Mochi which is so soft outside and tasty inside because of the mango.
The series is made with their special fresh fruit mixings which creates a refreshing sense and texture.
My favorite is the Mango & Pomelo with Sago because of the balanced sweetness.
Also, they offer Chinese herbal jelly, sweet and fresh fruit desserts.
At the moment, they offer their new drink series which is called Tea with Cheesy Milk with price starting at ₱100 which has Avocado and Watermelon flavors too! ❤️
