How Do I Spend My 'Me-Time'

"Sometimes you have to break from the grind, clear your mind, and enjoy some 'me' time."
When I am feeling really stressed out and need a break from reality, I really make sure to look into ways to spend some quality 'me' time.
With today's busy pace, we can all too easily forget how to recharge our batteries yet it's very important to our health, well-being, and creativity.
Sometimes when we tend to prioritize our work, family, our home and everything else and forget to take care of our self which is the most important above all.
We all need to take time for ourselves and hit the reset button if you will.
Taking these steps clears our head and leaves a refreshed feeling and makes us more productive.
When I give birth and having an almost every stressful day, I make it a point and promised myself that I will prioritize and focus on nurturing the friendship I have with myself.
So for today, I would love to share with you on how I am spending my 'me' time.
1) WORKOUT
By putting yourself first sometimes means you get better at all that other stuff.
When you look after your own health and when you make it a top priority, the positivity rolls downhill in a good way.
I think this is the most common activity I am doing recently for me to be able to release my stress hormones.
In just 30-45 minutes, I am able to energize and shape up.
2) GET SOME MANICURE/PEDICURE
Go ahead and treat yourself to a little bit of pampering by getting a manicure and pedicure.
Besides by making my nails clean, in shape and treat my cuticles, it's also vital in keeping my nails healthy and strong.
It keeps my hands, looking young, too.
3) GET A MASSAGE
A manicure and pedicure are certainly great options for enjoying a little bit of quality time with yourself, and another great way to get some pampering and enjoy some time alone is by getting a massage.
When I am free during weekends, I always make an appointment with my favorite masseur and do this at least 1-2x a month.
I can feel that it reduces stress, pain, muscle tension and also anxiety.
4) DATE YOURSELF
Others my find it stressful when you are eating alone, but in this way, it overcomes your fear of being alone.
You can watch movies alone too, and laugh your way out without even asking the approval of others through your actions because if you only depend on others for your happiness, you'll just be disappointed in the end.
And also, if you take a small portion of your time and dedicate it strictly to yourself by putting your phone on silent, ignoring the incoming texts/calls and focusing solely, on spending time with yourself, you'll slowly find the inner peace that you were relying on others to find.
5) GO SHOPPING
Why not treat yourself in a shopping spree when budget permits.
I usually head to my favorite store, whether it's clothing, accessory, home goods, wherever and spend time shopping without having to worry about anyone or anything else.
So if there's an instance that I am actually on a budget, I just have some fun and still go to my favorite stores though this time I am only doing window shopping.
In this way, I am actually adding some things I want on my wish list.
6) TRAVEL
Traveling to a new place generates positive vibes in mind.
The brain is a vivacious learner and a new place gives it an opportunity to learn new dimensions of living.
Travel changes your perspective of looking into the world.
It makes you feel more, live more, every moment.. a moment at a time!
Travel helps us grow and to be better.
Any form of wandering around this beautiful planet will bring changes and improvement to the lives of those with restless feet.
Traveling by yourself means not being able to rely on anyone else to get the most out of your trips.
It means you are left to navigate your place in the world, to embrace the ever-changing call of the wild.
No matter where you go, what you do, it will change you.
Do you ever feel so stress and toxic with your current situation?
What are you doing to relieve?
And how do you spend your 'me' time?
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks for reading.
Have a great weekend.
XOXO
