Baguio Botanical Garden + Fast Facts About Labor Day

The Baguio Botanical Garden is one of the green parks of the City of Pines, Baguio City.
It is located in the east of Baguio's downtown area and in between Teacher's Camp and Pacdal Circle.
Its main entrance is along Leonard Wood Road and just across the street from Gilberto's Hotel and Baguio Vacation Hotel.
You will be welcomed by a bas-relief sculpture made of cement and stone depicting the different rituals of the Cordillera tribes, with real live Igorots who will be more than willing to pose for photos with a fee.
When you enter the park, you will notice that it is quite huge and is about the same size as Burnham Park.
You can usually see local students go here for a day of retreat or just to enjoy the environment.
At the main entrance, you can find a group of Igorots who are dressed in their authentic native attire.
Some years back Igorot dances and rituals were held in an improvised outdoor stage within the village.
The place is filled with towering pine trees that serves the dual purposeof providing visitors and residents valuable breathing space and re-greening a fast developing city with greenhouses and nurseries.
In this place, they do not allow flower picking though it's pet-friendly park.
They have a lot of restrooms but it is paid or it's just a matter of giving a tip.
They require people who bring their children to this park to supervise their children as there are pools of water they may jump into.
How do you find this place?
