AMERIGOS

Featuring authentic Mexican dishes served in vibrant and lively ambience and complimented by attentive service. Each dish is prepared by head chef Oscar Selfa and his experienced team, to create mouth-watering flavors that will transport your taste buds to the heart of Mexico. Diners can choose from an extensive menu and there is something to suit everyone, with dedicated evenings presenting a twist on Mexican dishes, with influence from the Americas and Spain.
Amerigos offers indoor dining, or the opportunity to enjoy your meal on the poolside terrace overlooking the beautiful Yas Links golf course and Arabian Gulf. The restaurant also has an informal bar area, with an extensive list of beverages available, and regularly screens live sports including Formula 1 and the Premiership football.
Monday night is Tapas Night, giving diners the chance to sample a wide selection of Spanish inspired dishes, and Wednesday is Steak Night when diners can enjoy their favorite steak – made the way they like it with choice of fluffy mash potatoes or crispy French fries. Throughout the week there are a number of promotions including the Amerigos Business Lunch and Happy Hour, which is every day from 6pm to 8pm with 50% off selected beverages. PANECHO YUCATECO
This is the dish that the chef introduces to us. It is a fried homemade corn flour with black beans, pulled chicken pibil, cheese, motul salsa and pickled onion.
The stuff inside of it is umami.
AGUACHILE DE CALLOS
It is a roasted chili- lime marinated scallops with cucumber, onion, coriander and avocado.
It tastes like kilawin way back in my hometown.
It's a great starter and taste good.
CHILES EN NOGADA
It is chile poblano - a mild chili pepper that we may call capsicum as well with minced beef, walnuts, dry fruits and pomegranate seed.
I love the sweetness and a little bit spiciness mixture of this dish.
PESCADO VERACRUZANA
It is a pan seared sea bass with bell peppers, tomato, onion, olives, capers and spicy broth sauce.
It is a great main course especially for fish lover.
The spiciness makes it more appetizing.
MOLE NEGRO
It is a pan seared chicken breast with mexican rice, fried plantain and mole negro sauce.
The mexican rice is a big catch because it makes this dish a main course alike.
I love the sweetness of the sauce.
CHURROS CON CHOCOLATE
It is fried mexican flour with cinnamon sugar and mexican chocolate sauce.
I would be fine eating this for the whole day because of the softness of the dough.
****
Last January, we are invited to experience Mexican cuisine at Amerigos located at Park Inn by Radisson Yas Island by Zomato Abu dhabi.
They put a setup outside the hotel nearby the pool area to enjoy the breeze while it is still cold.
It offers authentic Mexican food that is shown by Chef.
It was a great experience since it's a time to meet up some food bloggers in the city.
The food taste good especially the churros because of the softness of the dough and the sweetness of the chocolate sauce is just right.
If you would like to know more about it, you may visit AMERIGOS - ZOMATO or you may call 02 418 2575.
They are open from 12 noon to 2am every day.
How do you find the food?
Thanks for reading.
XOXO
